John Adams Hodge
BACKGROUND
John Adams Hodge is a leader in environmental and aviation law. He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America® - Environmental Law. Mr. Hodge has practiced environmental law for over 35 years and aviation law for over 30 years. He brings a unique set of scientific and technical skills to the practice of law. He is a Registered Professional Geologist (P.G.) and formerly served as an Adjunct Professor in the Environment and Sustainability Program and Department of Environmental Health Sciences at the University of South Carolina in Columbia. For many years he taught a graduate class in Environmental Regulations and Planning. He is also an active pilot and a retired airline pilot and instructor who has a wealth of aviation industry and flight experience. He is a former staff counsel and hearing officer for the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) and a Certified Circuit Court Arbitrator. Mr. Hodge is active in a variety of legal, scientific, and civic organizations. He was selected by NASA as a Solar System Ambassador and serves as a volunteer speaker on planetary science. Mr. Hodge received South Carolina's highest civilian award, The Order of the Palmetto.

In 2008, Mr. Hodge was awarded the Order of the Palmetto, the highest civilian award in South Carolina. He is an Adjunct Professor in the University of South Carolina Environment and Sustainability Program and was formerly an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Environmental Health Sciences and Environment and Sustainability Program. For many years, he taught a graduate course, ENHS 776, “Environmental Regulations and Planning.” Mr. Hodge has served as a judge for the Philip C. Jessup International Moot Court Competition finals, and for the Stetson International Environmental Moot Court Competition (Latin American Rounds). He is a frequent speaker on a variety of legal, scientific, environmental, geological, aeronautical, and related topics.

Sharon A. Hodge
Sharon A. Hodge is a business lawyer who formerly worked in the banking industry in personal trust, employee benefits, and cash management. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude from the University of South Carolina with a B.A. degree in English, and received a J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law and an M.B.A. from the Moore School of Business at University of South Carolina, in Columbia. She also studied at the Institute on Comparative Political and Economic Systems at Georgetown University. Ms. Hodge is a member of the South Carolina Bar. She is also actively involved in a variety of civic and volunteer activities.
